PROJECT ZEESTER

From workboat to floating laboratory.

The "Zeester" during its major renovation, with the new superstructure for the wheelhouse and living room, bedroom, galley, etc.

The Zeester at the shipyard during the major renovation with installation of new superstructure and machinery.

The transformation takes shape.
With a new superstructure, improved layout, and modern facilities, the Zeester is evolving into a professional research vessel. Functionality, safety, and sustainability are at the core of every decision.

A stable foundation for research at sea.
Spacious decks and a robust construction make the vessel ideal for scientific equipment, sampling operations, and extended research missions.

The technical heart of the Zeester.
The engine room powers the vessel’s operations. In this final phase, systems are being optimized for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Where navigation, monitoring, and research come together.
From the bridge, the vessel is not only steered — it is also monitored. A high-quality sonar system will, hopefully, soon be installed here to accurately map water depths and seabed structures.

€300,000 to Launch the Zeester

We are in the final phase.

After an extraordinary transformation powered by volunteers, engineers, and committed partners, the Zeester is close to becoming fully operational. But to meet safety standards, complete the onboard laboratory, install sonar systems, and finalize sustainable upgrades, €300,000 is still required.

This is not funding for an idea.
It is funding for completion.

Every contribution moves us closer to:

  • Certified safety and operational readiness

  • A fully equipped onboard laboratory

  • Advanced sonar and monitoring systems

  • Solar integration and sustainable upgrades

  • Dozens of research missions each year

This is the decisive stage. The momentum is real. The vessel is ready.

What we need now is the final push.

Whether you contribute as an individual donor, a company, or a research partner — your support directly accelerates the Zeester’s launch in 2026.

Let this be the moment we choose action over delay.

Join us. Help close the €300,000 gap.
Let’s send the Zeester to sea.
